Services offered at our practices include:
Antenatal Clinics are held once a week, with Community Midwifes.
Child Health Surveillance Clinic, during 6 weeks, 3 year assessments and child vaccines take place during appointments. There are Health Visitors based in local centres, please ask the surgery for information.
Contraceptive Services/Chlamydia Screening sessions also available through appointment with the nurse or doctor, Family
Asthma/Diabetes/Chronic Heart Disease/Hypertension/COPD, any of these conditions can be discussed with the nurse or doctor during surgery hours. (XPERT Diabetes programme -structured 5 week education programme provided by Wolves Foundation)

Community Dermatology services are commissioned service from Circle the provider
Minor surgery is carried out by Dr Ghani, which includes joint injections and Physiotherapist Kulvinder (PCN) can do joint injections (physiotherapist every Friday am).
Family Planning Services are carried out in the surgery which includes Sexual Health issues, Depo injections, and Contraceptive pill, we do not fit coils or do implants as this is provided by the local Family Planning Services in Wolverhampton or by practices with our PCN
Phlebotomy service (blood tests) is available throughout the week by appointment and you can access community phlebotomy services by booking an appointment.
Smoking Service there is no commissioned service, however you can be advised by health professional and utilise online tools for support and advice.
First Contact Physiotherapist
Physiotherapists now available for first consultations at the GP practice.
Around one in five people book to see their GP when they experience bone, joint or muscle problems, when they could actually be safely and effectively seen by a physiotherapist at the first point of contact.
First Contact Physiotherapists have expertise in the assessment and management of bone, joint and muscle problems. They assess patients, diagnose their condition, give advice on how best to manage the problem and if needed refer for investigations or to other specialist services.
If you have bone, joint and muscle problems, please contact your GP practice and ask for an appointment with one of our First Contact Physiotherapists. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic currently the service is open for telephone and video assessments with the option for face to face assessments if needed.
Health Clinic if you feel you would like more advice on losing weight you can book an appointment to see the nurse, we do Alcohol brief intervention, healthy lifestyle advice, clinics are throughout the week at any surgery. We have a health monitor in the waiting area at the main site Low Hill and at branch site Bradley, so service users can use it during practice opening hours, this will check height, weight, blood pressure and pulse rate.
Health & Wellbeing Coach
Health and Wellbeing Coaching is a service offered to help create lasting change to improve a person’s well-being and overall health. Coaching will provide safe, non-judgemental space giving patients knowledge, skills and confidence to manage their long-term conditions. Your coach will work alongside you to discover what your health and wellbeing goals are.
Diabetes Health Trainer
If you have been recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and would like to learn how to manage your diabetes and improve your health and wellbeing.
Diabetes Health Trainers can work with you on a 1-2-1 basis to make changes that could make a real impact, however big or small. Diabetes Health Trainers can guide and support you to lead a healthier life. You will work in partnership with your health trainer and develop a bespoke plan that is tailored to your individual lifestyle and goals. Your Diabetes Health Trainer will work with you to find out what lifestyle changes you could make and, with 6 sessions of healthy lifestyle support, they can help you with many elements of your health such as:
- Managing diabetes
- Healthy eating
- Maintaining healthy weight
- Increasing physical activity
- Understanding your risks
- Community signposting

Aged 40-74? Your practice may invite you to book an appointment for a free NHS Health Check.
Even though you might be feeling great, if you’re over 40 you may be at risk of heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, diabetes or dementia. A FREE NHS Health Check can help you reduce these risks and make sure that you stay healthy.
