Home Visits

Doctor's bag

Our doctor typically sees four patients at the practice in the time it takes to do a single home visit. For this reason, we ask our patients to come to the practice if at all possible. However, we can visit you at home if your condition means you cannot attend one of our premises.

If you feel that you need to request a home visit, we ask where possible that you contact the surgery before 11am, giving the receptionist details of the problem to record in the triage book, so that the doctor can assess the situation, as to the urgency of the visit.

You can be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
